Corporate social responsibility

An important effort for us was successfully completed under the Thigaterra’s Corporate Responsibility!

We managed to cook 4,000 portions of food in one month, in order to support the important work of the Mission of Love, which stands tirelessly next to our vulnerable fellow human beings.

Thigaterra’s staff has been volunteering on the front line all this time to make this little dream come true. An initiative of our chef Aris Domatas, took shape with the daily support of Manos Mplemenos, Iraklis Manousakis and Antreas Mixalopoulos.

We want to say a big thank you to our suppliers and partners, who responded to our call and continue with individual efforts, from what we hear, to support similar solidarity initiatives in our city! We are glad that Thigaterra was an occasion for other businessmen in Heraklion to be activated, making their own efforts. This is very important to us!

In particular, we would like to mention the important contribution of:

• Giorgos Spanakis, owner of «Arch Coffee», who for several days contributed to the supply of raw materials for our meals.

• Krasanakis Markos Smoked Meat Products, Nikoloudis Butcher, Aggelakis Butcher, Marmaras Butchers, Koskinas Butcher Shop and Koutzoukos Finest Meat, for the meat of our meals.

• Giortamis Bakery, for our fresh daily bread.

• Kalimera Frouta Agricultural Commercial SA and Archontoulakis Grocery , for fresh vegetables and fruits.

• ZIRO - Sitia Olive Oil, the company Skoutari Olive Oil, Culterra Olive Oil and Graecia Terra for the precious olive oil in our cooking and salads.

• Varverakis SA CAVA Cellar of Mr. Varverakis for the daily distribution of water together with our meals.

• Mr. Pagonakis’Giannis companies TradeUp and HERA EMPORIKI for the packages that reached over 4,000 packages within a month.

• We also thank Panakakis Food Solutions for the additional supply of raw materials.

We are committed to continue supporting in other ways the vulnerable groups of our city in the near future. Needs never end, nor does the courage of our people.
